Cholera is a highly contagious bacterial infection caused by ingesting food or water contaminated with Vibrio cholerae. It is prevalent in Nigeria, especially in areas with poor sanitation and limited access to clean drinking water. Cholera can lead to severe dehydration and can be life-threatening if not treated promptly.
